Splashdown VIII

Dear Friends and Supporters,

Wow, what a party!

Thank you for making last Friday the best Splashdown ever.  We are now the premier event kicking off summer in Stafford County.  It was truly amazing to have over 500 of my friends and family gathered together in one place.  The live music by the Wil Gravatt Band & the Laugh Out Loud photo booth were both huge hits!  It's always nice to see friends dancing late into the evening & laughing over the photo strips from the photo booth. We've posted lots of good photos on our brand new website so take a look. We also posted ALL of those photos on Facebook so please take a look and tag all your friends!  Also, please post your pics and tag me or Splashdown VIII. If you are not a member of our page yet please go to https://www.facebook.com/pages/Splashdown-VIII/113761659041692 and like us.

Our previous attendance record from 2014 of 350 people was shattered!  Our new record is now 525! At 11:00 pm the party continued with well over 100 friends still dancing and by midnight there were no food or beverages left!

A special thanks to the following groups; without their donations this party would not have been possible. Thank you to Jimmy Franklin of Hope Springs Marina, Mick Lay of Micks Sports Bar & Lounge, Cindy & Skip Causey of Potomac Point Winery & John Fick of J R Fick!

Here is what they donated to Splashdown VIII:

10 gallons of rum punch (that still needs a name)     4 kegs of beer     2 cases of wine     50 liters of fine spirits     300 pounds of pork     350 hamburgers     50 hotdogs     Plus a whole lot of beans & coleslaw

At Splashdown VIII we had many VIP's in attendance:

Speaker Bill Howell     Congressman Rob Wittman     Senator Richard Stuart     Delegate Mark Dudenhefer     Treasurer Laura Rudy     Clerk of the Court Kathy Sterne     Supervisors Jack Cavalier     Laura Sellers     Meg Bohmke     Wendy Maurer     City of Fredericksburg Clerk of the Court Jeff Small     Spotsylvania Supervisor Chris Yakabouski     Bowling Green Councilman Daniel Webb     Charlie Jett (former Stafford Sheriff)     Dan Chichester (former Commonwealth Attorney)     Tom Tomzak (former Fredericksburg mayor)

Putting together a successful party like Splashdown takes a lot of effort spanning months of preparation.  I could not have pulled it off without the following for whom I'm ever so grateful:

Jimmy Franklin | Berkley Mitchell | Stan Dameron & Hope Springs Marina     Our Host Committee and Large Donors     Jen Ramos     Andrea Hickman     Michael Pollaci     Bailey & Travis Milde Heavy black heart️     Jason & Tais Colliver     Emily Yu     Ted & Anne Hupka     Frank Rubio     Saghar Erica Kasraie     Robert Hopkins

I am profoundly grateful and humbled by your support and the many who gave of their time and treasure. Although the primary goal at Splashdown is to show my supporters a great time, it is not surprising that Splashdown VIII also raised more money than any other in the past!  Thank you for making it possible for me to continue to run and win elections as your Aquia District Supervisor.  I hope to see you next year at Splashdown IX!

My Deepest Thanks!
